## Safe Codex media cleanup and session rollback for Mac

TraceFence is a Mac utility for finding duplicate Codex media, repairing broken image references, and restoring sessions from backups created before changes. Codex Media Cleanup runs locally, compares media using content hashes, shows candidates for review, and creates a backup before replacement.

## What TraceFence does

- Finds duplicate media associated with local Codex sessions.
- Repairs invalid `image_url` references when a reviewed repair is available.
- Preserves a pre-modification backup so a reviewed cleanup can be reversed.
- Keeps the scan and cleanup workflow on the Mac rather than uploading media to a TraceFence relay.

## Separate agent-control product

TraceFence Agent Control is the separate product surface for supported local AI agents and the 52-plugin catalog. It exposes package integrity and permissions before installation, while the actual control depth depends on each installed CLI, hook, adapter, and session ownership.
